SEIL have won a major development contract for Military Airborne/ Navel/ UAV/ Ground & Space Sub System design and production as part of the growth of an own designed products group supporting harsh environment and aerospace motion control systems. Working as part of product development team providing DSP based control and power amplifier system for integration into system LRU. Interfacing with customer, software partners and suppliers to SEIL. Familiarity with Airbus ABD requirements would be an advantage.

Responsibilities: Duties to include, but not limited to: Design and vetting of Electronic Circuits & PCB layouts. Responsible for up to 15 Engineers / Technicians. Preparation of Quotations. Manage ISO 9000:2000 for department Project Management. Support Business Development. Budget Control & Reporting.

Main Activities over 1 year: Role is to provide system engineering support activities as part of a major airborne military development contract. Manage Generation of Contract CDRLs covering technical information for major review milestones; e.g Specification – Requirements Cross Reference Matrix, Development Plans , Definition of Design Validation activities and flowdown to ATP, Qualification Test Plans , Qualification Test Reports etc. Day to Day Operational and resource planning of our Engineering team. Budget Control, Monitoring and Reporting.

Qualifications: BSc / BEng in Electronic & Electrical Engineering or related subject.

Experience: 7 years min experience

Required Skills: Electronic Circuit Design – Analogue, Digital and Microcontroller. Embedded Software from assembler to high level C++. PIC Microcontroller & DSP Circuit design. Data Acquisition circuitry. Low Power. Electronic System Design. Design for SMT and efficient production practises.

Preferred Skills: DSP / FPGA / CPLD / VSDL design. Design for Hazardous Areas EEX i, EEX d, EEX p. Electronics design in high temp, shock & vibration environments. Experience of environmental testing of electronics. CE approval EMC, LVD. Low Power, FET’s & IGBT’s. Fieldbus / Profibus Interface Design.
