SEIL are an Electronics / Control Systems Design and Manufacturing enterprise. Established in 1988 we have been based in Forres, Moray since 1995.

SEIL‘s business experience is diverse and covers many aspects of the electronics industry including: Military and Commercial Products and Systems, Hazardous Area and Harsh Environment Electronics, Specialist Motion Control Systems, Motor Drive Amplifiers, SCADA Design, Development and Integration, Grid and Cluster Computing Systems (Super Computers), Software Design, Test and Installation and PCB, SMT & PTH Design, Manufacture and Population.

We require a Software Engineer, duties to include, but not limited to: Design and vetting of Embedded Software. PIC Microcontroller structure awareness. Work to ISO 9000 department procedures. Software Project Control.

Qualifications: Degree or HNC/ HND in Computing Science or related subject.

Experience: 2 years min experience

Required Skills: Writing Embedded Software – from assembler to high-level C. Embedded Software fault-finding capability. PIC Microcontroller software design. Data Acquisition circuitry interfacing (e.g. ADC, DAC and MUX). Serial Communications handling I2C, SPI, RS232 and RS485. Parallel bus communications handling. Front-end application interfacing. Electrical safety awareness. ESD protection awareness.

Preferred Skills: TI and NEC microcontroller experience. Front-end Application software design. High-level language experience C, C++, Visual Basic and/or Delphi. Sound Mathematical and data manipulation knowledge.
