SMT Technician

Responsible for the programming and operation of SMT automatic pick and place equipment, convection reflow oven and screen printing equipment. Equipment currently used is Quad IV C fine pitch, DEK 248 and Surf reflow oven. Person will also be responsible for maintenance of these machines. Sound up to date knowledge of SMT component types, package sizes and solder pastes is essential. Must be proficient in hand soldering/rework techniques as there will be from time to time a requirement to work closely with our Engineering department to perform modifications, re-works etc. Must be able to work with minimal supervision and meet tight delivery deadlines while also producing high quality assembled PCB’s. Experience preferred in an Aerospace / Space manufacturing environment using ISO 9000, J-STD-001, IPC-A-610 and ESD.
