Snr Subsea Engineer

To have an identified and named individual whose accountability it is to ensure the management of projects and third party Engineering Contractors associated with all subsea assets is delivered in a safe and efficient manner to support the assets overall goals.

The individual filling this position is responsible as the Technical Authority for the Subsea Engineering discipline for delivering the right functional solution, safely, first time, on budget and on schedule.

• To provide Subsea Engineering support to production operations on all Facilities, Subsea development projects and new developments department. • Plan and manage the implementation of all Subsea interventions required in support of Integrity related inspections and unplanned IRM activities of existing Subsea systems. • Ensure that all Subsea activities undertaken are carried out in a safe and efficient manner to comply with statutory requirements. • Provide a consistent and innovative approach from conceptual design and evaluation through to implementation, execution and operation of subsea tie-back projects. • Provide discipline specific input into existing and new assets ensuring Maersk operational and commercial requirements are achieved and maintained to ensure optimized life of field costs. • Ensure sub contract work quality, cost and planning is consistent in satisfying Corporate and Legislative requirements and incorporates the benefits of new technology to minimize life of field costs. • Ensuring the provision of timely, appropriate and accurate provision of support and data to allow work programs to be identified and delivered, that deliver required business results for the relevant asset (production and cost). • Directly responsible for the performance and supervision of the engineers, technicians and contractors in the subsea team. • Indirectly responsible for the development and career management of all staff and contractors associated with the subea team. • Responsible for supporting the Technical Manager in ensuring the provision of timely, appropriate and accurate provision of cost estimates, feasibility studies and schedules for accurately forecasting the subsea projects portion of the annual budget. • Responsible for the technical input to the: o Facility risk registers, issue identification and prioritization o Facility 5 year operational and maintenance plans o Offshore projects
