We currently have an immediate requirement for an experienced HSE professional to join our clients Aberdeen operations and support their new client who has nominated them as key Duty Holder for an existing North Sea Asset.

Our client is mobilising a new offshore asset group for which we will be duty holder and, effectively, Operator. That work will embody HSE transition management and HSE steady state management phases. We require an HSE Principal (probably Contract HSE Manager) to manage and effect the issues which such an undertaking will require. Our ideal candidate is likely to be an ex, current or aspiring HSE Manager of a small or medium sized operator, with capability at management, technical, legislative compliance and occupational safety levels. It is possible that this role may in time transfer from client to the asset owner, subsequent to acceptable performance management and delivery levels. We see this role having a life no shorter than 24 months, and ideally much longer.

Experience: will have had a higher level experience, directly or closely related at operator HSE Manager Level, or immediately reporting to that level.

Qualification: must have qualifications which are credible relative to that position. A degree or equivalent would be assumed, unless in exceptional extenuating circumstances.

Attributes: this is an HSE general management role. Delivery is all. The role will involve department design, staffing and management, allied with proven past capability in ‘doing’. Successful candidate will be both ‘hands on’ and ‘hands off’, happy to operate at both strategic as well as delivery levels.
