UHI Millennium Institute is a unique multi-centre network of 15 teaching colleges and research institutions of national standing providing university-level education to over 6,500 students in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland.

Located in Inverness, the Personnel Office is an extremely busy three person team, providing a comprehensive and professional service to the 170 staff of the UHI Executive Office and playing a pivotal role in the implementation of the wider UHI HR Strategy.

You will be the first point of contact for any HR queries, providing advice and guidance to managers and staff on all aspects of personnel practice ranging from recruitment and retention, employee relations and performance management, through to the implementation of agreed policies and procedures.

Ideally you will be CIPD qualified (or nearing completion), with proven experience of all aspects of generalist HR, including policy development and support for managers.A sound understanding and knowledge of current UK and EU employment legislation is also essential.

With a systematic, organised and precise approach to work and highly effective interpersonal and communication skills you will be able to build and maintain credible relationships with managers and staff and manage your workload to meet competing deadlines.
