We are looking for a Construction Area Authority (Offshore) for one of our clients North Sea assets which is undergoing some major redevelopment. The role will require an experienced offshore technician to support all work being carried out in line with the Clients Group Policies and manage the relevant parties in terms of permits to work and safety issues. Knowledge of ISSOW is essential for the role along with all relevant offshore certifications. Prime Responsibilities include:
Prime Responsibilities 1. Conducting all work within Client-Group Policies and in a safe manner in accordance with the requirements of the Platfrom Management System. 2. Capable of fulfilling a number of roles in the event of an Emergency Response or training drill/exercise. Roles may include the duties of a Fire Team Member / ICR or Control Room Technician. 3. Active participation and involvement in the Weekly Offshore Safety Meetings. 4. Performing as a Safety Leader within the role as an approved Area Authority in relation to the ISSOW (Integrated Safe System of Work) procedure. 5. Monitors assigned work sites and personnel for compliance with agreed WCC (Work Control Certificate) conditions and ensures effective Toolbox Talks are always undertaken and recorded. 6. Reporting any defects or deviations from operating, maintenance or safety norms. 7. Management of concurrent work, ie Work or Work-party clashes. 8. Control of all work sites in his area, ensuring they are left safe and clean at the end of each shift. 9. Satisfied that the PA’s (Performing Authorities) and work party members are familiar and understand the WCC (Work Control Certificate) risk assessment. 10. Liase with the construction supervision. 11. Control of barriers. This goes hand in hand with the control on concurrent work. 12. Need the confidence to stop work if in none compliance with the WCC or clashes exist. 13. Must understand the ISSOW process. (Integrated Safe System of Work). 14. Has to spend the majority of time on worksites (80%) 15. Not an Office Job. 16. Ensure that before any WCC is approved, the work site is safe. 17. Need to build up good working relations with the construction teams and platform Operations personnel.
