About us

William Grant & Sons Ltd is an award-winning independent family-owned distiller founded by William Grant in 1886 and controlled by the direct descendents of his family. As a brand-led business, we distil some of the world’s leading brands of Scotch whisky, including Glenfiddich the world’s favourite single malt, The Balvenie range of esoteric single malts and Grant’s the world’s fourth largest blended Scotch, as well as selected other spirits including Hendrick’s Gin.

The company continues to sell and market its award-winning Scotch whisky brands around the world and has also developed new business through the development and acquisition of new premium brands which complement its existing portfolio.

The success of the Company is largely due to the consistent quality of its brands and the entrepreneurial spirit of its people. Over 800 people work for the company around the world, and in Scotland the workforce is based at the distilleries in Dufftown and Girvan and at the bottling and office complex near Motherwell in Central Scotland.

Where are we hiring?

We are hiring Engineers across our sites in both Central Scotland and the Highlands.

Although most people will be familiar with the Central Locations, Dufftown is less well known. Malt whisky is at the heart of this vibrant and thriving Highland community that invites visitors to participate in a wide range of traditional Scottish activities and entertainment throughout the year. Set in the heart of Speyside in north eastern Scotland, Dufftown is around 20 miles East of Elgin and is situated on the banks of the rivers Fiddich and Dullan at the foot of the Conval Hills.
