In 1971, an unassuming little coffee shop opened in Seattle’s historic Pike Place Market. More than thirty years and millions of lattes later, that meeting place has grown into one of the world’s largest and most recognisable brands. Starbucks has become synonymous with the highest quality coffee, a welcoming environment, personalised service and a passion for innovation. Starbucks continues to grow, and with almost 15,000 locations internationally (and growing!) people all over the world can now enjoy the Starbucks experience.

What does Starbucks do? Starbucks is best known for our company-operated retail stores. Here, our customers can enjoy a relaxing atmosphere and purchase the high-quality whole bean coffees that we roast, customized Italian style espresso beverages, pastries, and other coffee-related equipment. Beyond our stores, we sell our whole bean coffees in supermarkets, and we produce and sell the bottled Frappuccino® coffee drink, a line of premium ice creams, a specialty liqueur, Ethos® water, and a line of innovative premium teas by our very own Tazo Tea Company. Our Hear Music™ group continues to bring a diversity of popular music to our customers, and we continue to leverage our brand in the areas of film, literature and art. At Starbucks, there’s no telling what our imaginations will come up with next.
